Hello Everyone! I am beyond excited to be joining the team at Captain Isaac Paine School this year as the newly appointed principal. I can’t wait to meet all of you. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Westerly and still live in Westerly with my husband, Josh and my two girls, Mollie and Mallorey. When I’m not at school, I enjoy being active outside and spending time at the beach with my family and friends.
I graduated with an undergraduate degree in education from Rhode Island College in 1996 and with a graduate degree in education from Walden University in 2004. This past June, I graduated from the Principal Residency Network with a certification in administration. Last school year, I was the Dean of Teaching and Learning and The Aspiring Principal at Dunn’s Corners School. In my career of twenty years, I have been employed as a classroom teacher, specialist, Dean, and various leadership roles by Westerly Public Schools.
I am eager to continue my career in The Foster District this year as a principal. I look forward to meeting and working with all of the staff members, students, and families. As much as I love summer, I can’t wait to dive into the school year and begin my new adventures with all of you. I’m looking forward to a great year!
Grades 1-5: Please join me for a Meet and Greet With The Principal on Thursday, August 22nd from 5-6 located at the school’s playground (weather permitting). In case of inclement weather, I will host the event in the cafeteria. I will be present for a Meet and Greet on 8/21 for Pre-K orientation and on 8/22 for Kindergarten orientation.
If your child is new to the school, please call the school at 647-5100 to schedule a tour and orientation. Thanks and hope to see all of you soon!
