Multi-tiered System of Supports
Captain Isaac Paine School’s Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS), formerly referred to as RtI, is a framework for supporting academic and behavioral needs of all students in order to improve outcomes and provide safe school climates. The MTSS framework provides academic and behavior evidence-based support and data-based decision making procedures to enhance student outcomes across three tiers of support.
- Tier 1 Universal Level for All Students: Core implemented with fidelity
- Tier 2 Targeted Level: Supplemental intervention
- Tier 3 Intensive Level: Intense and individualized intervention
